Vintage 1960s Sears Spaceliner 26" — Space-Age Design, Highly Complete

The Sears Spaceliner is one of the most instantly recognizable American bicycles ever made. Built at the height of the space race, it was styled to look like it belonged in the future: a swooping chrome tank, jet-age fender treatments, and a shape that no bicycle before or since has copied. Sixty years later it still stops people mid-sentence.

This one is in slightly restored, highly complete vintage condition — the phrase that matters most to a collector. Complete is the hard part. Spaceliners were bought by families, ridden into the ground, and stripped for parts, so the tank, chain guard, fenders, and pedal blocks going missing is the norm. Finding one still wearing its pieces is what makes it worth having.

The blue steel frame shows genuine patina — minor surface scuffs, paint wear, and light surface rust exactly as you would expect from a sixty-year-old original.
