Blackburn EX-1 Disc Rear Rack β Built for Modern Bikes, Proven Since 1975
The Blackburn EX-1 Disc Rear Rack is a disc brake-compatible evolution of the original rear rack design that launched Blackburn in 1975. Engineered for versatility, it mounts to disc brake frames and bikes without traditional rear dropout rack mounts, using an included extra-long quick-release skewer for the lower attachment points. Constructed from 12mm gauge aircraft-grade aluminum rod, this rack is built to handle a carrying capacity of up to 40 lbs (18.2 kg) while keeping long-term durability intact.
A three-strut design provides maximum load control and stability whether you're commuting, touring, or running daily errands. It accommodates both wide and narrow tires, fits 26" and 700c frames, and is compatible with Copilot child seats β making it a practical choice for a wide range of riders.
