Product Details
Shimano SM-BBR60 Ultegra 68mm Bottom Bracket (BSA, 24mm Spindle)
The Shimano SM-BBR60 is part of the Ultegra 6800 series, engineered to the same exacting standards that define Shimano's performance components. Designed for English BSA-threaded frames with a 68mm shell, this bottom bracket features precision steel bearings, advanced sealing technology, and tight manufacturing tolerances that result in a 50% reduction in rotational friction compared to previous designs β a direct result of Shimano's improvements in bearing seal efficiency.
Weighing approximately 76 grams, the SM-BBR60 is nearly 15 grams lighter than its predecessor, making it an ideal upgrade for road cyclists seeking reduced drivetrain weight without sacrificing durability or smoothness. Compatible with 24mm spindle cranksets, it is also available in an Italian 70mm threading option.
- English BSA threading for 68mm bottom bracket shell
- Compatible with 24mm spindle cranksets (Shimano Hollowtech II)
- 50% reduction in rotational friction over predecessor
- Advanced bearing seals for long-lasting, smooth performance
- Lightweight design at approximately 76 grams (~15g lighter than previous generation)
- High-precision steel bearings with tight manufacturing tolerances
